An error occurred while updating - Error updating game files.

When I installed the game earlier today, starting the launcher yielded the following error :

Error updating game files. Perhaps the file is open in another program or run an instance of the game.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I've tried restarting the launcher, checked in the running processes but no other instance was open.
The program is installed on a custom location : D:\Games\Starfall Tactics
I'm unable to patch and thus play the game. If any more information is needed or things I can try, let me know.

It seems that if I run the launcher located in D:\Games\Starfall Tactics\launcherupdate\0.1.55 instead of D:\Games\Starfall Tactics the game is actually patching. The created shortcut on the desktop however pointed to the latter.

Not sure what patch you are talking about. Are you doing the first hotfix?

The initial installation. Downloaded the launcher/installer, I guess it needs to do a first time download and install now. And thank you for the welcoming :)

The first download takes quite some time, at least, it did for me. I hope you have a greater download speed than in the megabytes.
