p.s. wondering about Eclipse Carrier - those thing should be really huge and amazing ;)

You're in luck then! Here's a first 3D sketch for Centenary, which you might have already seen in this WIP thread in November.

It looks like a large mecha-insect if you look at it from the back and resembles a very squat Voltron if you view it from the front. So that's a pretty amazing thing about it, I suppose. And yep, these things are like crazy huge, all of them.

Thanks! Pretty sure Netflix would sue our butts off if we actually called it Voltron though :)

Here comes Deprived carrier! Named it Hecate because of its complicated trident-like appearance. Spent waaaaaay too much time trying to figure out how my own sketch works in 3D space. Started over three times in a row and ended up significantly simplifying the nose part since it felt a bit overdesigned as it is. Had to abandon some pretty neat ideas to make the whole thing work, but a) it was worth it and b) there's always next time! :D

Familiarizing myself with ZBrush after a few half-hearted attempts to use 3D-Coat for sculpting. Decided to start off with a male base mesh, because I could always use a reference model for character work. And hey, who knows, maybe we'll have a character editor one day. I mean even EVE has one, of all things. Still needs a lot of work (and, y'know, a torso), but I'm content with the progress.

Giant Deprived Crab appears! Attack its weak point for massive damage. Just some ideas concerning our very thin interlayer of cruiser class ships. There's currently only one for each faction, same as with battleships. This shall not stand.

Sorry for abandoning this thread, again. I've been mostly doing UI stuff lately and UI stuff is pretty boring WIP-wise, I think. Just a lot of UE4 blueprint nodes, window frames and material work.
